**Choose Tauros when you enjoy staying mobile while building Physical damage.** The Stampede passive works before the Stampede fusion exists. Your job is to keep useful movement and damage while reserving the two later inputs.

## Playstyle and trade-offs

This route combines movement with forward pressure and the charging Tauros fusion. It suits players who prefer making space to standing inside a control zone. Its weak point is a greedy opening: reserving every slot and offer for a future fusion can leave current attacks too weak. More movement speed also does not remove contact damage or map hazards.

## Requirements before the run

Recruit Tauros through its current League card and later capture. You do not need a shiny Tauros to start the route. Reserve Raging Bull and Headlong Rush, which first become eligible at player levels 4 and 7; those are offer gates, not guaranteed cards.

With three slots, Payback plus both inputs uses all your space. Taking Rock Climb for immediate strength is a real alternative that can delay the pair. The fourth Lab slot makes that trade easier but is not a substitute for damage upgrades. Check Archive for the Physical and movement items you want.

## Move order and formation

Tauros has both a passive called Stampede and a fusion called Stampede. **The passive is available before the fusion**: it adds movement speed and periodically rams nearby enemies in front while you run. The fusion summons charging Tauros. Do not wait for a machine before using the movement identity of the partner.

1. Start with **Payback** and maintain a route through safe space. Movement helps the passive; running into a Boss warning still hurts.
2. With three slots, decide whether immediate **Rock Climb** coverage from player level 2 is worth delaying the pair. Payback plus both fusion inputs already fills all three slots.
3. Keep **Raging Bull**, eligible from player level 4, and **Headlong Rush**, eligible from level 7.
4. Upgrade each input to move level 8, then make **Stampede** at an available Bill's Machine. Its checked damage class is Physical, with Normal and Ground typing.
5. Use the freed slot for useful coverage or control. Keep moving through openings rather than circling into a closed wall of enemies.

**Muscle Band** supports Physical damage. **Choice Scarf** supplies movement and attack speed, while **Quick Claw** supplies attack speed. Area, duration or additional projectiles can affect parts of the charging fusion, but their value depends on the actual card and the hits connecting. **Assault Vest** or recovery may be the better next item when repeated contact damage is ending the run.

**When Headlong Rush is missing:** develop the existing Physical attacks and movement. Do not leave Payback underleveled or spend every resource pursuing a late offer. The passive and the fusion are separate damage sources; a video of a completed Stampede loadout does not prove that any speed item alone makes the build work.

## Items and upgrade priorities

| Situation | Useful direction | Main trade-off |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Existing attacks are too weak | Muscle Band and meaningful move upgrades | Future Stampede does not fix the current wave. |
| You need smoother movement and casting | Choice Scarf or Quick Claw | Speed cannot make a blocked route safe. |
| Charging coverage misses packs | Area, duration or projectile modifiers shown in Affects | Judge actual coverage, not the number alone. |
| Contact damage ends the run | Assault Vest or working recovery | Another damage item may not solve survival. |

Prioritize a functional current attack, then the two-input plan. Evaluate attack-speed offers against the cooldown limits shown by the game. The passive and fused move are separate sources, so do not assume every modifier affects both identically.

## How to farm and collect experience

**Opening:** travel through open lanes in broad curves. Keep enemies on a side you can see, let your automatic attacks work and take experience from a cleared edge. Avoid repeated sharp turns back into the pack.

**Before fusion:** use longer safe passes through sparse areas, then turn when there is room. If pursuing a chest or machine would force a crossing through a dense group, clear a route first. Movement uptime helps the plan only when you remain alive.

**After Stampede:** guide packs into the attack’s useful direction and space. Make another pass from an open angle instead of forcing your character through the middle of enemies. Gather drops on the return along the cleared edge. Adjust camera and aiming to keep the next turn visible; do not confuse the charging herd with a safe path for your own body.

## Bosses and late waves

Give the guardian room to telegraph its attack, move out of the warning and use a clear damage window. Your speed is useful for repositioning; it is not permission to cross a persistent hazard. Keep an escape line that does not run into the edge of the arena.

For a final swarm, avoid turning a circle into an ever-tighter enclosure. Leave before the route closes and use open ground to reset your angle. Spend a ready Ultimate for a useful wave or Boss window while preserving enough attention to movement.

## Missing pieces and common mistakes

If Headlong Rush is missing, keep improving the Physical attacks you already have. When the current run is losing ground, an immediate useful card can be worth delaying Stampede. Do not leave Payback at a low level while chasing every late offer.

Fuse only after both inputs reach move level 8 and the machine displays Stampede. If movement feels uncontrollable, fix the binding or input issue before attributing the failure to item strength. A high movement stat does not replace a route with an exit.

Checked **October 28, 2026**. Move kits, shared-offer gates, these fusion identities and item definitions were checked as static text in the official **v0.8.62 / mvr5gbc0** [client](https://pokebonk.com/assets/main-BOn5p88k-mvr5gbc0.js) and [configuration](https://pokebonk.com/assets/defineProperty-CGpGi5J6-mvr5gbc0.js), against the separately versioned v0.8.25 combat baseline. The movement and farming steps here are editorial applications, not a recorded playtest, DPS test or fastest-clear claim. ## Frequently asked questions

### Does Tauros need the fusion for its Stampede passive?

No. The passive and the fused move share a name but are separate sources.

### Is a fourth move slot required?

No, but three slots force a choice between immediate coverage and reserving both fusion inputs.
