Daily Mutation is a solo Classic challenge with the same map, world and modifier for everyone on a given day. Choose any League Pokémon and try as many times as you like; the leaderboard keeps your best run by progress, then knockouts. The mode does not allow your Bag or co-op.
How to enter and reset time
Open the original game and choose Daily Mutation on the first menu row next to Survival. The challenge and its map change at 00:00 UTC each day (08:00 in Beijing). The in-game screen shows upcoming mutations. You can retry, but the daily Stardust rewards are awarded only once per day.
The four mutations
| Mutation and difficulty | Rules | Practical approach |
|---|---|---|
| Metronome · Nightmare | Every 30 seconds, one attack changes into a random League attack of the same level. Your first attack and fusions never change. | Keep a dependable first move and leave room to adapt to the next swap. |
| Dynamax Wilds · Hard | Wild Pokémon are twice as large, have twice the HP, deal 50% more damage and move 15% slower. Bosses do not change. | Leave space to avoid contact; do not assume the boss receives the same modifiers. |
| Candy Fever · Hard | Double experience and Pokédollars, but Pokémon become stronger 60% faster. | Spend early upgrades on reliable damage and keep moving as enemies scale. |
| Crystal · Normal | Your HP is reduced to one quarter, while all your damage is doubled. | Prioritize avoiding hits; the extra damage does not replace survival. |
The release notes say the four rotate once every four days, never on consecutive days, with the map changing. Check the game for today's actual combination. The approaches above are editorial suggestions, not verified optimal builds.
Daily Stardust and permanent rewards
The announced one-time daily rewards are 60 Stardust for reaching zone 2, 60 for zone 3, 60 for the sanctuary, and 120 for winning: up to 300 Stardust per day. Each mutation also has permanent cosmetics: reach zone 3 for its title, reach the sanctuary for its avatar frame, and win for its profile background. Collect all four backgrounds to earn the Mutation King title.
The daily leaderboard shows the current challenge and the previous two days. Ranking compares the furthest progress first, then knockouts. Lab upgrades are permanent progression; the daily rewards are separate from the listed Lab prices.
Builds and mode restrictions
Daily Mutation is solo and does not let you bring Bag items. The standard solo tier list is a starting point, not a tested ranking for each modifier. For a stable plan, choose a League partner whose first attack you understand, then adjust the rest of the build to the current mutation. See build recommendations, move fusion rules, and game modes.
Sources and checks
The rules above summarize the official v0.8.61 and v0.8.62 patch notes, checked October 28, 2026. v0.8.62 reports a Metronome attack-swap fix and a fix for earned frames. These are release announcements; we have not completed every mutation or independently tested rewards.
