Versions, sources and scope

PokéBonk Season 2 adds Storm Coast, Celestial Glacier, move fusions and Lavender Tower Night. It began on October 21, 2026; the announced season end is November 4 at 17:30 UTC. The current release checked for this guide is v0.8.46, on October 25. Season 2 is the season name, not a single patch version.

If you are returning after Season 1, start with the new map unlocks, plan one fusion pair and check the Lab before your next run. The starter guide, Lab planner and fusion finder cover those decisions in detail.

The developer's welcome article calls the season 15 days long. Use the explicit end time above when planning your last run; do not calculate the deadline by adding a fixed number of hours to the start. The live game's season and event panels remain the place to confirm a changed schedule.

How to unlock Storm Coast and Celestial Glacier

New regionUnlockLegendary encounterWhat to prepare for
Storm CoastComplete Rocky DesertZapdosChanging tides, waterspouts and lightning-rod mechanics
Celestial GlacierComplete Storm CoastArticunoSlippery lakes, blizzards and a reflected Ice Beam

Clear the preceding region before trying to enter the next. A region visible in the menu is not the same as a region you have unlocked. For co-op, choose a map and difficulty unlocked by the whole team, as explained in the co-op guide.

The new maps add six guardians each, plus Zapdos and Articuno: 12 guardians and two legendary encounters. Their mechanics reward positioning. For example, the announcement tells players to lead Zapdos's lightning toward rods and use pillars to reflect Articuno's beam. Treat those arena objects as part of the fight, rather than trying to solve every boss with damage alone.

Move fusions and Lab changes

Season 2 introduces 106 fusion results: 79 signatures, eight reactions, 18 same-type results and MissingNo. At Bill's Machine, a ready pair becomes one attack and frees a move slot. Use the complete fusion guide for input levels, matching priority and the TM Case distinction.

Permanent progression also changed:

  • Lab stat upgrades became 15% cheaper; the prices in our Lab table already include that reduction.
  • Archive adds five slots per level. The launch announcement described 20 slots at level four; the rechecked v0.8.46 Lab now supports 30 slots at level six.
  • Item purchase prerequisites were removed from the announced 59 locked items; Stardust still pays for their unlocks.
  • Precision, Swiftness, Expansion, Harmony and Big Bag joined the upgrade list.

Read what to buy first in the Lab before spending. Fourth move capacity and Fourth option still solve different problems: carrying another attack versus seeing another upgrade card.

Lavender Tower, co-op and other additions

Lavender Tower Night is a separate limited-time mode, not the fifth normal region. It has seven designed floors, an endless Beyond, Candles, event achievements and event leaderboards. Start with the Lavender Tower guide for the entry path, floor objectives and Book of Candles milestones.

Co-op has rooms for two to four trainers and its own team boards. Access is controlled by the game's beta rollout and availability state. See how to create or join a co-op room; clan membership alone does not put friends in one combat session.

Other announced additions include 24 items, five vitamins, three altars, Mega Crits, TM power-ups, Dive attacks and Pokémon Eggs. Clans gained weekly missions, rivalries, levels and up to 200 slots. Time Attack also gained season prizes. These are separate systems: a cosmetic reward, an unlocked partner, a Lab purchase and a ranked record are not interchangeable progress.

What changed after the Season 2 launch?

The launch article describes the big content drop. Later patches matter for practical instructions:

ReleaseChange relevant to a guide
v0.8.24Archive preset management changed on mobile.
v0.8.26Tower stair and long-run fixes; Bill's Machine appears every three floors in the Beyond.
v0.8.27Wardrobe, Mastery Looks and up to six Team favorites.
v0.8.30–31Co-op rooms, invitations, team boards and revive instructions were refined.
v0.8.46Co-op returned to the classic boss/elite behavior after the preceding patch's team mechanics.

A guide labeled Season 2 can therefore still describe an older interface. Check reviewed release summaries and the version beside a mechanic. Our Lab caps and costs were independently rechecked for v0.8.46. Older starter, unlock, fusion and tier-list snapshots retain their own checked versions.

Is Gen 2 or Mega Evolution in Season 2?

The Season 2 announcement does not add Gen 2 or Mega Evolutions. The developer's welcome article places Gen 2 in Season 3, and the launch article defers Mega Evolutions to that later generation update. These are roadmap statements, not proof that a later feature is already playable.

Sources and checks

Checked October 25, 2026 against the original game's English news feed, public season status and v0.8.46 release/configuration bundle. The October 20 launch article and October 21 welcome article establish the season content and announced dates; the status response identified Season 2 as live at this check.
