The Pokédex links Pokémon that belong to the same reference evolution family. This is useful for finding related entries and comparing their data. It is not a verified checklist of PokéBonk evolution requirements.
Find the family first
Open a Pokédex entry and look for its evolution family. The guide uses the source's family relationships and previous-evolution ID, then links only to entries included in the Kanto reference scope.
For a straightforward example, compare Bulbasaur, Ivysaur and Venusaur. Each page has its own base stats, type list, abilities and learning table. Following the family is a way to explore how those reference entries differ.
Levels are reference values
The raw dataset includes canonical evolution levels, triggers and items. Those fields can describe the mainline Pokémon games instead of the survivor's implementation. In particular, a trade trigger in a reference file does not prove that PokéBonk requires trading.
For that reason, the family view does not turn a source trigger into an instruction such as “trade this Pokémon now.” Read the current game's progression interface to confirm its actual requirement.
The three starter profiles now have a separate gameplay section with thresholds traced through the v0.8.18 run logic: Bulbasaur’s line at levels 24 and 41, and Charmander’s and Squirtle’s at 24 and 44. These are client-code findings, not completed test runs; target resources and delayed processing can affect timing. Keep them separate from the mainline levels in the reference data.
Branching families
Eevee provides a helpful example of branching relationships. Its Kanto relatives include Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon. The reference guide can link these entries without claiming that every original-game evolution stone or trigger is implemented in PokéBonk.
The complete source also contains later-generation Pokémon. A Kanto Pokémon can therefore have an earlier or later family member outside this site's current scope. A missing family card is not proof that the relationship does not exist; it may simply be outside the first 151 entries.
Check the current game
When you need an actionable evolution answer, check the current game build, the evolution interface and the official news panel. Keep the version with any notes you take. A change to progression can make old advice inaccurate even when the underlying reference JSON stays the same.
Use the comparison tool to inspect two family members' base values. For where these values come from, and how the separate starter gameplay snapshot was checked, see data sources and methodology.
