Season 3 is announced for November 4, 2026 as PokéBonk v0.9, with GEN 2 and a broad balance update. It is a preview, not the live version at this check. On October 31, the official version file still reports v0.8.83. Start from the original game when checking availability.
Planned date and current status
Charcher's official development update, published October 29 UTC, names November 4 for Season 3. It does not specify a launch hour or time zone. The separately published Season 2/Halloween end is November 4 at 17:30 UTC; that deadline alone does not establish the v0.9 release minute.
The developer says routine updates will slow while the new season is prepared, with major bugs still addressed. A quiet patch day before November 4 is therefore not evidence that development stopped. Use our release log to distinguish shipped fixes from this plan.
What the developer has announced
| Area | Announced scope |
|---|---|
| GEN 2 | A new generation of content; the announcement does not publish a complete playable roster. |
| GEN 1 and legendaries | Broad balancing and reworks for partners that have fallen behind. |
| Fusions | A system rework intended to make combining attacks feel worthwhile. |
| Maps | Four new maps: two remaining GEN 1/Kanto maps and two introducing Johto. |
| Seasonal event | A new event, with detailed objectives and rewards not supplied in this notice. |
These are development commitments described by the creator, not a list of features already available in v0.8.83. The current announcement does not confirm a Mega Evolution launch date.
What is still unknown
We do not yet have final partner stats, a complete GEN 2 unlock table, all new move kits, fusion formulas or map-unlock requirements from this announcement. It also does not specify the new event's complete reward track. Do not treat a prediction about those details as an official rule.
The tier list, build collection and Move Fusion Finder retain their stated source editions. A promised rebalance does not supply replacement values, and a release-date notice cannot validate a future strongest build.
What is already available before Season 3?
Several improvements already shipped during Season 2; you do not need to wait for v0.9 to use them:
- Official Windows/Linux app, including the announced Steam Deck route; app 1.2.0 has the Esc/fullscreen fix.
- Public co-op and Team Survival, with the ready-room start countdown and team pause rules.
- Save and quit in supported solo modes, retaining the saved run's Archive.
- Top-record review before the best map/Global marks appear.
Those released features and Season 3's promised generation, maps and rebalance belong to different release scopes. Match the guide to what the game currently offers.
What we will recheck after release
We will compare the live roster and kits, revised passive and Ultimate behavior, fusion identities and inputs, new map conditions, and event instructions against their new sources. Existing build routes then need corresponding-version runs before stronger performance claims can be made.
Until that evidence exists, use current guides for their stated versions. Read combat mechanics and fusion rules as dated explanations, not proof that every coefficient survives the rework.
How to confirm that Season 3 is live
Check the version and season panel in the original game. A news card titled Season 3 may be a development preview. Our current release check is v0.8.83; this article's updated date records a news review, not a v0.9 gameplay test. See Season 2 for the preceding season's dated schedule.
Sources and scope
Reviewed October 31, 2026 from the official news feed, article 19, version file and v0.8.83 patch history. The planned features are paraphrased from the developer's notice. We did not play v0.9, measure its balance, access an unreleased build or verify unpublished rewards. See methodology.
